The Chinese University Club (CUC) was founded in 1950. The members were American born Chinese and Chinese students stranded in the US by the revolution in mainland China. The UH professors, JOYCE and PAUL FAN and E. K. T. CHEN were sponsors. The organization promoted social and cultural events among the members. It was later renamed the Chinese Professional Club (CPC) and is still very active. The presidents were Mr. PAUL LIANG, Mr. HAMILTON CHON, Mr. BING WU, Mr. KENT WONG, Dr. RICHARD LEONG, Mr. GEORGE BO-LINN, Mr. GORDON CHANG, Mr. T. Y. CHANG, Mr. JEFFERY CHANG, Mr. PAUL CHAU, Mr. EDWARD Y. MOY, Mr. and Mrs. WILLIAM DER BING, Mr. HOWARD CHEN, Mr. WILLIAM CHUNG, Mr. C. C. HUANG, Mr. HENRY S. GEE, Mr. ROBERT YANG, Mr. VICTOR HUEY, Mr. T. C. SUN, Mr. W. S. HUANG, Mr. HERBERT KING, Dr. BENG T. HO, Mr. CHARLES CHIEN, Mr. EDWARD HONG, Mr. PING YING CHOU, and Mr. BILLY WONG. (as of 1980)

June 2025 marked the 75th anniversary of CPC’s founding.

Over the course of its 75-year history, CPC has been guided by the leadership of 60 presidents.
