CPC Scholarships

THE CHINESE PROFESSIONAL CLUB (CPC)

The Chinese Professional Club Scholarship Program awards academically talented, highly motivated, and/or need-based students of at least 25% Chinese ancestry pursuing degrees in all disciplines.

Over $1,000,000 Awarded:  Founded in 1950, the Chinese Professional Club (CPC) is pleased to announce the continuation of its scholarship program, awarding over $1 million in scholarships since 1979! These awards will be made for the 2026-2027 academic year through the CPC Trust Fund.

Scholarship Award Amount – the total distribution for the 2026-2027 academic year will be determined by the CPC Fund Inc Board of Trustees.

Use of Scholarships – scholarships may be applied toward tuition, fees, or other costs directly related to study. One scholarship is set aside specifically for students pursuing a pharmacy degree.

Basis of Award – the Scholarship Committee, composed of officers and members of CPC, will make the final selection of students to receive a scholarship based on their review of the application materials. The scholarships will be awarded primarily on academic qualifications, extracurricular activities, talent, career goals, community involvement, volunteer activities, leadership, projects, accomplishments, educational plans and awards will also be considered on the basis of financial need. The complete submission and interview will be considered.

How to Apply – the application submission must include a completed application form, 500-word maximum personal essay, official academic transcripts, class rank, standardized test scores, 90-second or less personal video of the candidate, letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or community leader, and need-based applicants should provide documentation supporting financial need considerations.

Important Deadlines:

• Application: Submit on or before November 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (CST)
• Interviews: mandatory in-person interviews with the scholarship committee in November (for selected applicants only)
• Final Notifications: Scholarship awardees will be notified by December 2025.
• CPC Gala: Winners will attend the CPC Gala on February 22, 2026 to receive their awards.

All submissions become the property of the CPC. All applications will be evaluated, and the scoring system and candidate evaluation process is confidential. All decisions of the CPC are final. Please do not submit federal and state income tax returns unless requested. Scholarship recipients will be expected to attend the CPC Gala and are encouraged to perform at the event.
